7-OH pricing confuses people because pack names, formats and per-mg values all move at once. This guide does the math so you do not have to, and gives you the numbers to judge any offer — ours or anyone else’s.
The metric that matters: cost per milligram
Never compare packs by price; compare them by price ÷ total verified milligrams. A $44 four-bar pack and a $70 eight-tablet pack are not comparable until you divide. The cost per mg guide has the worked examples; the principle is the same everywhere in this post.
Where the range lands
Our format lineup spans the typical market spread: the small starter packs (180mg) carry the highest per-mg cost, the mid-range packs (250mg, 400mg bars) sit in the middle, and the large packs (750mg, 1000mg, and especially the 300mg 30-count for low per-tablet routines) land the lowest per-mg cost. This is normal across the category — larger, verified packs always beat small ones on per-mg value — and it is the reason the stocking-up guide exists for regulars.
What explains price differences between sellers
Four factors, in order of how often they matter: verification cost (per-batch third-party testing is a real cost that unverified products avoid — and that gap shows up in their price), pack size, format (bar vs tablet tooling), and positioning (reseller margins, clearance of older stock). The two price traps
Trap 1: the cheap pack. Dramatically below-market per-mg pricing on an “unbranded” or resold 7-OH product is the signature of unverified stock — the cost you are saving is the testing and documentation cost. The COA explainer explains what you are actually buying when you skip that step.
Trap 2: the expensive “premium” label. A premium markup on a small pack can produce a worse per-mg number than the plain large pack next to it. The math, not the adjective, is the comparison.
Putting it together
