The supply chain, plainly
We make the product and ship it. A reseller buys from us or from the distribution chain, adds their margin, and ships it from their location. Between those two steps is where the differences live: handling, storage, documentation, and accountability. A reseller is not automatically bad — many are legitimate businesses — but “legitimate” is not the same as “identical,” and the buyer is the one holding the differences.
The four differences that matter
- Batch documentation. We document every batch and can answer a specific question about a specific lot number. A reseller’s answer depends on what they were handed, and how long ago. Our process is on the lab testing page, and the COA explainer shows what the documentation looks like.
- Storage between hands. Every transfer adds heat, light and humidity exposure — the same enemies covered in the storage guide. One warehouse is better than three, and the fewer hands between us and you, the closer the pack is to the batch that was tested.
- The price gap question. If a reseller is dramatically cheaper than the source, that gap is a question: older stock, a different lot, a clearance, or a product that is not what the listing says. - Accountability. If a pack from us has an issue, you talk to the maker, with the lot number, under the returns policy. If a pack from a reseller has an issue, you talk to the reseller about a product they did not make. The difference matters most exactly when you need it.
