If Something Goes Wrong: Emergency Resources for 7-OH Users

This is the post every other safety page points to, and it is written to be read in one minute and remembered in one page. If you are in an emergency right now: call 911 (U.S. and Canada) immediately — do not finish reading first.

The call-now signals

  • Difficulty breathing, slow or shallow breathing
  • Severe drowsiness — someone who cannot be kept awake, or who drifts off mid-conversation and does not come back
  • Worsening confusion, or confusion that is new and strange
  • Any situation you cannot assess and are not comfortable with

The last item is the one people skip, and it is the correct item: the threshold for calling is not “certain this is an overdose,” it is “I am not certain this is fine.” That is a 911 call, every time, no exception.

The first minutes: the do list

  • Call 911. Say the substance by name if you know it (7-hydroxymitragynine / 7-OH), the approximate amount, and the time taken. Approximate is fine; “a little over an hour ago, one chewable tablet” is a complete answer.
  • Stay with the person. Do not leave them alone, even for the bathroom.
  • Position: if they are drowsy but breathing, keep them on their side (recovery position) so an airway does not close if they vomit.
  • Gather: the product packaging (the lot number on it is genuinely useful to responders), and a list of anything else taken that day, including alcohol and prescriptions.

The do-not list

  • Do not give them anything to drink, eat, or take.
  • Do not try to “walk it off” or wait to see if it passes — the call-now signals above do not pass on a useful timescale.
  • Do not drive them anywhere yourself while they are impaired; 911 dispatchers handle the routing.
  • Do not let shame delay the call. Responders are there for exactly this, and the person in question will be far more grateful for the call than for the “I thought I’d wait.” This is the line that matters most in the post, and it is not decorative.

The non-emergency lines

  • 988 (U.S.): call or text, 24/7, free and confidential — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the right line for a serious conversation that is not an emergency. (U.S. only; Canadian users have their own provincial crisis lines, searchable by province.)
  • The prescriber or a doctor: for the “is this normal for my dose / my medication” questions, which are medical questions with medical answers.
  • This store: for product questions — lot numbers, what a pack contains, an order issue — via the contact page. We are a product support channel, not a medical one, and that boundary is why this post exists as a separate page.

Save this page. That is the instruction, and it is the only one that matters: bookmark it, note the numbers, and know the threshold — call when you are not certain it is fine. The rest of the safety set: side effects, no mixing, who should not use, and the responsible use guide.
