The federal position (2026)
As of our last check, 7-hydroxymitragynine is not federally scheduled in the United States. The trajectory, though, matters as much as the current state: the FDA recommended Schedule I classification in July 2025, and in July 2026 the DEA published a notice of intent to temporarily schedule concentrated 7-OH above a specified threshold — an order that has not taken effect as of this writing. Separately, the DEA’s temporary order covering three related synthetic compounds (mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, MGM-15 and MGM-16) did take effect on August 26, 2026. The state layer
A growing number of states have enacted restrictions covering kratom-derived products, including 7-OH, through various mechanisms (bans on the products, bans on the alkaloids, or restrictions on sales). The state-by-state landscape is summarized in the states overview, and the compliance page states our position: we do not publish a static list, we do not ship where the product is controlled, and placing an order is your confirmation that it is lawful where you live. If your jurisdiction is one of the controlled ones, no order from this store can be lawfully fulfilled, and no legitimate seller can change that.
