How Dopium Stacks Up on Potency Transparency

“Lab tested” is on every label in this category, which means “lab tested” is not a differentiator until you look at what is behind it. This post is the four checkpoints that actually separate transparent brands from decorative ones — and yes, we apply them to ourselves, because a self-assessment that spares the assessor is not an assessment.

Checkpoint 1: Lot traceability

Does every pack carry a lot number that corresponds to a specific production run? Does that lot number appear on a document a buyer can actually request? This is the foundational checkpoint: without a lot number, there is nothing to verify, and the product is a label with a story. Our position: every pack carries a lot number tied to a production batch, and documentation is available on request through the contact page — the process is described on the lab testing page.

Checkpoint 2: Measured potency, per batch

Is the 7-OH content measured per batch — not once per product, not “typically,” per batch — and does the measured value match the label? The difference between “this product is tested” and “this batch was tested and here is the number” is the difference between a claim and a record. Our position: per-batch potency measurement is part of the standard process, and a batch that falls outside tolerance is flagged for rework or discard rather than shipped — that disposition step is what the measurement is for.

Checkpoint 3: The contaminant panel

What was tested for, against what limits, and what did it find? The panel’s scope (microbials, the relevant contaminant classes) and its results — “not detected” or below action limit, line by line — are the content that the “lab tested” phrase is standing in for. Our position: the standard safety panels run against action limits as part of the per-batch process; the COA explainer shows what a real report looks like so buyers can judge any report, ours or another brand’s, against the same lines.

Checkpoint 4: Documentation access

Can a buyer actually get the report for the lot in their hands — or is the “lab tested” claim only visible on the website? Access is the checkpoint that converts the other three from posture to fact: a brand that will not produce the document for a specific lot is a brand whose transparency ends at the marketing copy. Our position: the verification routine is written for exactly this — lot number on the pack, report on request, packaging checks alongside — and the FAQ (quality section) answers the mechanics.

How to run this on any brand

The four checkpoints are brand-neutral: run them on any listing. A brand that passes all four is a verified product; a brand that fails one has told you exactly what it is, in the only language that matters — the absence. We publish our process because the checkpoints work both directions: the same four questions that describe our standard are the four questions that should describe yours, for whatever brand you end up buying. The shop is where the range lives, and the reseller comparison is the companion post for the channel side of the same question.
